1. **Move Layers**

All the layers in the Layer Box can be moved up or down to prioritize the display the of the layers. Layers higher in the list will overlap ones below them allowing their colors to be more clear on the map.

Click on the 'Move' icon and drag the layer to your desired place in the order.

2. **Color Styling**

3. **View/Hide Layers**

There is the ability to display or hide the layers in the Layers Box on the map. If the 'View' icon is present for the layer it will be displayed on the map. There will be a 'Hidden' icon (has line through it) if the layer is currently not displayed on the map.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: Hiding the layers from the map will only remove the visual from the map and will retain the layers/filters.
{% endhint %}

4. **Delete Layers**

The user layers can be deleted in the Layers Box. Expand the layer options and click the 'Delete' icon to remove the layer. This will deselect all the data items that were chosen for that deleted data tab.

System layers (ie. Grids, Base Map) cannot be deleted.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help-intel.stackdx.com/dashboards/activity-map/layers-box/manage-layers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
